THERMOPLASTIC

Thermoplastics are the materials used for insulation of electric cables. PVC is the most frequently used thermoplastic in electric cables. MCI manufactures its PVC in-house using virgin Resin, imported lead free stabilizers and other high quality components. We manufacture a range of different PVC’s for different applications such as 85 degree PVC automotive and domestic cable, GT4 PVC for flexible cable and high temperature resistant 105 Degree PVC. In addition to PVC, MCI uses a number of other thermoplastics including XLPE, XLPO and EVA. Selection of thermoplastic depends on the type of cable, application of the cable and the standard to which it must comply.
